It is vital not only to ensure that the most appropriate system is selected but also that it is set-up in the way that is most relevant to your business. When selecting a new system it is important to develop a clear understanding of your business information needs both present and future and to carefully document these in a statement of requirements. This document ensures that potential suppliers have all the information needed to propose and implement an effective system and provides an element of recourse in the event of future problems.
